PACCARD Foundry

a story of passion

PACCARD Foundry is today the world reference for church bells and carillons. Between tradition and modernity, 7 generations of founders have succeeded each other at the head of the company. In total, more than 120,000 bells give rhythm to the everyday life of towns and villages all over the world.

In 1796 the first PACCARD bell was cast by Antoine Paccard, founder of the company, for the church in Quintal, Haute-Savoie. After his death, 7 generations succeeded each other and continued the operation of the Foundry, a great family story.

Today the manager of the Foundry is Philippe Paccard, assisted by his brother Cyril. Since 1989, date when it moved to Sevrier on the shores of Lake Annecy, Foundry has created many bells and carillons, such as the carillon of Chambery, of Sevrier, The World Peace Bell, the bourdon of the cathedral of Orléans, etc.

With Philippe and Cyril, the company enters the third millennium. In 1999, they created Ars Sonora, an urban planning concept that combines the musicality of the bell with architectural design.

2007 saw the birth of the Campanuna subsidiary (now PACCARD E.COMMERCE): the first website for miniature bells and personalised house bells, for use by individuals and communities. The PACCARD dynasty has not finished surprising you…
