Since 1796 more than 120,000 bells were made at the PACCARD Bell Foundry. From the deserts of Alaska to the Fiji Islands, from the United States to Japan, PACCARD Bells<\/strong> are ringing in the farthest reaches of the world. The PACCARD Bell foundry was established in 1796 by Antoine Paccard, who crafted his first bell for the small village of Quintal. In the 19th Century, the rise of industrialization and the development of railways allowed the Paccard family to export large bells around the world. After an \u201cOpen Day\u201d at the Foundry that attracted more than 8,000 visitors, the overwhelming response inspired the Paccard family to create a museum dedicated to the expertise, history, and passion of the PACCARD Bell Foundry. Established in Annecy-le-Vieux in 1984 by Franc\u0327oise Paccard, the Bell Museum was relocated to Se\u0301vrier when the Foundry moved there in 1989. In 2004, the museum was renamed the PACCARD Museum<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n
